with award-winning artist
Joyce Gabiou

Another recent award was in the Natl. Collage Soc. Show in Delray Beach, FL. October 2007. http://www.joycegabiou.com/

Florence Nightingale once said, “As little as we know about color and light we so know they have an actual physical effect. Variety of form and brilliance of color in the objects presented to patients are an actual means of recovery.” Patty Magee, artist and Registered Nurse Educator at Baptist Medical Center, said she agrees with Nightingale. Magee has a new exhibit at the Art Center at The Carling that will debut at First Wednesday Art Walk tomorrow. The collection is called “Weaving Wellness” and it’s just what the name implies. Each piece is actually two paintings that have been cut into strips and then woven together to create a unique work of art.
